Ok- tober 2018. Höhere Ansprüche an Montagetätigkeiten Diese Entwicklungen kann Projektleiter Rainer Bachert nur bestätigen: Die Internationale Fachmesse für Produktions- und Montageautomatisierung, veran- staltet von der P.E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG, auf der Landesmesse Stuttgart, ist seit Jahren bei Fachbesuchern ein Muss! Zahl- reiche Aussteller zeigen hier ihre technologischen Neuheiten rund um die Montageautomati- sierung. „Unternehmen haben inzwischen einen Fahrplan, was das Zukunftsthema Smart Factory angeht. Entsprechend gezielter richtet sich die Nachfrage nach konkreten Hilfestellungen und umso höher werden auch die An- forderungen an das Ausstellungs- angebot der Messe“, beobachtet Bachert. Motek zeigt raffinierte und wirtschaftliche Robotertechnik Die automatisierte Montage- technik wird immer raffinierter. Dank verbesserter Algorithmen und neuer Sensor- sowie Bild- verarbeitungstechnik können viele der Industrieroboter nun beispielsweise selbst flache, unsortiert gelagerte Blechteile erkennen und greifen. Im For- schungsprojekt „DeepGrasping“ des Fraunhofer IPA entsteht aktuell eine virtuelle Lernum- gebung. Darin üben Roboter be- reits vor ihrer Inbetriebnahme unterschiedlichste Greifprozesse, mit denen sie später im opera- tiven Betrieb arbeiten sollen. Mit einfacheren Programmierum- gebungen werden Roboter auch für kleinere Unternehmen immer einsatztauglicher und gefragter. Aufgrund dieser Entwicklungen und weil der Markt nach wie vor nach individuellen Produkten ge- paart mit kürzeren Lebenszyklen schreit, erwarten Experten, dass der Anteil an Industrierobotern in der Montage steigen wird. Dazu gehören auch die Co- bots, die mit dem Menschen Hand in Hand arbeiten und da- mit Prozesse teilautomatisiert effizienter gestalten. Apropos Roboter: Aktuelle Studien zei- gen, dass Roboter Arbeitsplätze in Deutschland sichern, die sonst aus Kostengründen nach Fernost oder in Schwellenländer ausgela- gert werden würden. Fachmesse präsentiert auch Montage außerhalb der Ro- botik Nicht zu unterschätzen ist in diesem Zusammenhang das The- ma ‚Big Data‘. Das Sammeln und Auswerten von Daten gewinnt im Bereich Montageanlagen im Eilschritt an Bedeutung. Für die standardisierte Kommunikation zwischen steuerungstechnischen Komponenten und beispielswei- se einem ERP-System bedarf es smarter Technik, die in Industrie 4.0 Prozesse eingebunden wer- den kann. Fahrerloser Transport, automatische Handlingsysteme, Montage-Arbeitstische, Greifsys- temkomponenten, Software zur Kollisionsberechnung und viele weitere Neuheiten außerhalb der Robotik werden im Oktober ebenfalls auf der Motek präsen- tiert. The Smart Factory is Becoming Reality T o an ever greater extent, companies are beco- ming aware of the fact that automation doesn’t mean a thing without digita- lisation. Those who don’t deal with their processes digitally today will soon be left in the dust. Exhibitors and visitors at Motek, taking place from 8 to 11 October 2018, will keep themselves up-to-date with the state-of-the-art. Greater Demands for Assembly Operations Project manager Rainer Ba- chert is able to confirm these developments: The international trade fair for automation in pro- duction and assembly promoted by P.E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG at the Stuttgart Exhibition Cen- tre has been an absolute must amongst expert visitors for ye- ars! Numerous exhibitors unveil their technological innovations dealing with all aspects of as- sembly automation at the event. “In the meantime, enterprises have a timetable for future- oriented planning of the smart factory. Demand for concrete solutions is more targeted as a result, and requirements for the trade fair’s exhibition offerings are correspondingly stricter”, observes Bachert. Motek Presents Sophisticated and Economic Robotics Automated assembly technolo- gy is becoming more and more sophisticated. Thanks to impro- ved algorithms, as well as new sensor and image processing tech- nologies, many industrial robots are now even capable of detecting and gripping flat and unsorted sheet metal components, for ex- ample. A learning environment is currently evolving as part of the “DeepGrasping” research project now being conducted by Fraun- hofer IPA. Before initial start-up, robots practice a great variety of gripping processes which they will use later during actual operation. Thanks to simpler programming environments, demand for robots is rising amongst smaller compa- nies, for whom robots are thus becoming more and more usable. As a result of these develop- ments, and because the market is still screaming for individualised products coupled with shorter lifecycles, experts anticipate that the number of industrial robots will increase in assembly operations. Cobots are also part of this trend, which work hand-in-hand with people and thus make par- tially automated processes more efficient. Speaking of robots, current studies reveal that robots secure jobs in Germany which would otherwise be relocated to the Far East or the emerging countries for cost reasons. Trade Fair Presents Further Assembly Technology in Addition to Robotics Within this context, the issue of big data must not be unde- restimated. The collection and evaluation of data is rapidly gai- ning importance where assembly systems are concerned. Standar- dised communication between control components and, for ex- ample, an ERP system necessita- tes smart technology which can be integrated into Industry 4.0 processes. Driverless transport, automated handling systems, assembly workbenches, gripper system components, software for collision calculation and many other innovations from fields other than robotics will also be presented at Motek in October. An attractive supplementa- ry program will ensure in-depth information regarding the latest trends and technologies – al- ways with a view to best possi- ble cost-effectiveness in actual practice.
