Januar 2017 TEXT & BILD: LANDESMESSE STUTTGART GMBH MESSEPIAZZA 1, 70629 STUTTGART D ie MOULDING EXPO – internationale Fach- messe Werkzeug-, Mo- dell- und Formenbau – zieht von den ursprünglich geplanten Hallen L-Bank Forum (Halle 1), 3 und 5 bei ihrer drit- ten Auflage im Mai 2019 in die Hallen 3, 5, 7 und 9. Ausschlaggebend für die verän- derte Hallenbelegung war der Um- zug der „Automotive Shows“ in die Hallen 2, 4, Oskar Lapp Halle (Hal- le 6), Alfred Kärcher Halle (Hal- le 8) und Paul Horn Halle (Halle 10). Den Entschluss des britischen Veranstalters UKi Media & Events Ltd., mit seinen zeitgleich statt- findenden Fachmessen der Auto- mobilzulieferbranche komplett auf die Südspange zu wechseln, nutzt die Messe Stuttgart, um die Gelän- debelegung der MOULDING EXPO 2019 zu optimieren. Durch die Bei- behaltung von vier Standardhallen in unmittelbarere Nähe zum Ein- gang Ost und Eingang West sowie die Nutzung des Eingangsbereichs Ost durch das neu geschaffene „Forum der Kunststoffprodukte“ werden die Laufwege für Besucher nochmals attraktiver. Thematische Aufteilung wird konkreter Im Zuge der neuen Geländeplanung haben sich die Veranstalter der MOUL- DING EXPO gleichzeitig Gedanken zur thematischen Aufgliederung gemacht. So werden die Hallen 3 und 5 voraus- sichtlich mit Werkzeug, Modell- und Formenbauern gefüllt, während die Hallen 7 und 9 mit Zuliefern der Bran- che belegt werden. „Wir glauben, dass wir mit dieser Konstellation eine gute und logische Aufplanung sowohl für Aussteller als auch Besucher haben werden“, so Florian Niethammer, Pro- jektleiter der MOULDING EXPO. Auch Aussteller der ersten Stunde wie die Firma FBB Formenbau Buchen GmbH sehen den Umzug positiv: „Bereits in 2015 waren wir auf einer Spange und haben das hinsichtlich der Besucher- führung als sehr gut erlebt“, so Ge- schäftsführer Wolfgang Ehmann. The reason for the changed hall occupation was the move by the "Automotive Shows“ to Halls 2, 4, 6 (Oskar Lapp Hall), 8 (Allfred Kärcher Hall) and 10 (Paul Horn Hall). Messe Stuttgart will optimise the hall occupation for MOULDING EXPO 2019 following the decision by the British event organiser UKi Media & Events Ltd. to move all its concurrent events for the automo- tive component supply industry to the southern area of the trade fair grounds. The walking routes for visitors will become even more at- tractive by retaining four standard halls in the direct vicinity of the En- trance East and Entrance West, and by using the lobby of the Entrance East for the newly created "Plastic Products Forum". Topic assignment to become more specific During the new site planning, the organisers of MOULDING EXPO also gave some thought to topic assign- ment. Halls 3 and 5 will therefore probably contain tool, pattern and mould making companies while Halls 7 and 9 will be occupied by suppliers to the industry. "We be- lieve that this constellation will en- able both exhibitors and visitors to carry out good, logical planning," said Florian Niethammer, Project Manager for MOULDING EXPO. Ex- hibitors such as FBB Formenbau Buchen GmbH, who have attended MOULDING EXPO right from the very beginning, regard the move as posi- tive: "In 2015 we were on a spe- cific area and found this to be very good in regard to visitor guidance," said Managing Director Wolfgang Ehmann.
