Oftmals sind sie die Initiatoren für neue Lösungs- ansätze, Ideengeber für innovati- ve Entwicklungen und Treiber für Markt-Erweiterungen/-Öffnungen. Folgerichtig bietet die Control – Internationale Fachmesse für Qua- litätssicherung auch im Jahr 2017 alles auf, was in dieser Branche Rang und Namen hat. Nämlich zum einen mit mehr als 900 Ausstellern (Control 2016 = 914 Aussteller aus 31 Nationen) das Weltangebot an QS-Hard- und Software, und zum anderen die Kooperation mit führenden Institutionen und Mei- nungsbildnern aus allen Segmen- ten eben der industriellen Quali- tätssicherung. Zu nennen wären hier die lang- jährigen Kooperationspartner Fraunhofer Institut für Produkti- onstechnik und Automatisierung (IPA) sowie die Fraunhofer-Allianz Vision. Zur Control 2017 führt das IPA bereits zum 10. Mal (!) das „Eventforum“ durch, das sich aktu- ell mit dem Themenkomplex „Qua- lität im Wandel der Zeit – Blick auf ein Jahrzehnt und die Zukunft der Qualitätskontrolle“ befasst. Die Fraunhofer-Allianz Vision ist sogar noch länger an Bord und ver- anstaltet zur Control 2017 das 13. Mal (!) die Sonderschau „Berüh- rungslose Messtechnik“. Der zwei- te Fraunhofer-Allianz Vision Stand hat diesmal den Schwerpunkt „Mo- nitoring entlang des Produktle- benszyklus mit Bildverarbeitung“. Der unaufhaltsame Siegeszug der industriellen Bildverarbeitung (IBV) und Visionssysteme in allen Segmenten der Qualitätssicherung wiederum ist mit ein Grund dafür, dass die european machine vision association EMVA seit der Control 2016 ebenfalls Kooperationspart- ner ist, und mit den „Control Visi- on Talks“ einen sehr erfolgreichen Start verbuchen konnte. Diesen Erfolg nimmt die EMVA zum Anlass, anlässlich der Control 2017 erneut die „Control Vision Talks“ zu organisieren, die sich diesmal um die Technology Topics a.) World of 3D: From 6-DoF to Point Cloud, b.) Optical Metrolo- gy: Offline – At line – Inline, c.) Metrology throughout the wole spectrum: From Infrared to Hyper- spectral, drehen und damit zielsi- cher die Interessenlage der Fach- besucher treffen. Zu den weiteren Kooperationspartnern zählen u. a. auch das Unternehmen xpertga- te, das für die Recherche und die Ausarbeitung des bereits zum 4. Mal aufgelegten Control-Spezial- Messeführers „Bildverarbeitung“ verantwortlich zeichnet, und nicht zuletzt die TQU GROUP, mit dem das Messeunternehmen P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG unter der Schirm- herrschaft der Steinbeis-Stiftung Stuttgart, schon seit 2008 die Auslobung und Vergabe des Kom- petenzpreis Baden-Württemberg organisiert. Control 2017 – international trade fair for quality assurance M ore exhibitors than ever before, 10% growth in exhibi- tion floor space, a new hall layout, improved in- frastructure and a technically well-rounded supplementary programme – the Control inter- national trade fair for quality assurance in 2017 is and will re- main the world’s most important information and business plat- form for all concerns in the field of industrial quality assurance! Significantly more than 900 ex- hibitors from 30 countries will fully occupy halls 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 with 565,000 square feet of overall exhi- bition floor space and will present current offerings from the world- wide market with their comprehen- sive products and services. More than 900 Exhibitors from 30 Countries on 565,000 Square Feet of Exhibition Floor Space The new hall layout for Control, characterised by construction of new hall 10 as well as renovation and expansion of the West entrance foyer, has resulted in the unique opportunity for private trade fair promoters P.E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG of setting up Control in a block format and thus as a compact trade fair with minimised legwork. Occu- pying halls 3, 5 and 7 in the odd- numbered row and halls 4 and 6 in the even-numbered row smooths out the beginning of the trade fair day for expert visitors arriving in the morning – and for the exhibi- tors – because the flow of visitors via the East and West entrances will now be more uniformly dis- tributed to all of the halls. Along with renovation and expansion work, vehicular access and parking lot infrastructures at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre have been op- timised as well. In combination with transportation connections to the exhibition centre (direct access from the motorway and national highways, as well as via rapid tran- sit and the airport), this results in a comfortable and low-stress travel and admission situation. This is assured on the one hand by worldwide offerings cover- ing components, modules, subsys- tems and complete solutions for quality assurance, and on the other hand by a broad-based supplemen- tary presentation programme and the highly popular talks offered at the Control exhibitor forum. Quality Assurance as a Central Element Against the backdrop of boom- ing individual QA sectors such as industrial image processing and vision systems, robot-aided sub- systems and complete systems as well as optoelectronic sensor tech- nology, the 31st Control will once again present a world-class exhibi- tion portfolio. Thanks to the con- sistently and comparatively high degree of digitalisation of the re- spective components, modules and systems for industrial quality as- surance, these building blocks are distinguished by maximised I 4.0 compatibility and thus represent an essential element for implementing I 4.0 structures in the real world. Control Coordinates Leading QA Collaboration Partners for 31st Session Measuring technology, materi- als testing, analysis equipment, optoelectronics, image processing and vision systems, hardware and software for quality assurance – the Control international trade fair for quality assurance is com- ing on strong once again in 2017 with a comprehensive portfolio of components, modules, stand-alone solutions and complete systems! And that’s not all – entirely new demands for suppliers all over the world are resulting from ever stricter requirements on the part of manufacturing companies with re- gard to the integration of Industry 4.0 structures and more in-depth use of, for example, 3D measuring technology and industrial image processing. In keeping with tradi- tion, convincing answers will first be presented to the expert visitors by the manufacturers at the 31st Control, which will once again be held at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre from the 9th through the 12th of May, 2017. Not only have the developers and manufacturers of the corresponding hardware and software made a sig- nificant contribution to the current state-of-the-art of industrial qual- ity assurance, but rather above all the research institutes, university laboratories, institutions, asso- ciations and scientific organisa- tions as well. They often initiate new approaches, generate ideas for innovative developments and stimulate the expansion of exist- ing markets and the penetration of new ones. As a logical conse- quence, the Control international trade fair for quality assurance will mobilise everybody who’s an- ybody in the industry sector once again in 2017 – on the one hand with more than 900 exhibitors (Control 2016 had 914 exhibi- tors from 31 countries) who will showcase worldwide offerings for QA hardware and software and, on the other hand, by means of collaboration with leading insti- tutions and opinion makers from all areas of industrial quality as- surance. The Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Auto- mation (IPA) and the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance can be mentioned here as longstanding collabora- tion partners. The IPA will hold its Event Forum for the 10th time (!) already at Control 2017, which is currently dealing with issues in- volving “Quality Over the Course of Time – a Look at the Last Dec- ade and the Future of Quality Control”. The Fraunhofer Vision Alliance has been on-board even longer and will promote the spe- cial show for “Contactless Meas- uring Technology” for the 13th time (!) at Control 2017. The second Fraunhofer Vision Alliance booth will focus on “Monitoring Throughout the Product Lifecycle with Image Processing” this year. The unstoppable advance of im- age processing and vision systems in all areas of quality assurance is one of the reasons that the Euro- pean Machine Vision Association (EMVA) has also been a collabo- ration partner since Control 2016, and has gotten off to a very suc- cessful start with the “Control Vi- sion Talks”.
