HERTFORDSHIRE AL3 4ET GROSSBRITANNIEN Z um dritten Mal sind Unternehmen mit he- rausragenden Leis- tungen in der Blech- bearbeitungsindustrie dazu eingeladen, am diesjährigen EuroBLECH Online-Wettbewerb in insgesamt fünf Kategorien teilzunehmen. Ausgezeichnet werden Un- ternehmen für Best Practice, Innovationen, Exzellenz und außergewöhnliche Leistungen. Die fünf Gewinner, jeweils einer pro Kategorie, werden von Fach- leuten der Blechbearbeitungs- industrie über ein Online-Ab- stimmungssystem ab September ausgewählt. Das diesjährige Motto des Wettbewerbs „Am Puls der Digi- talisierung“ bildet eine themati- sche Grundlage rund um digitale und automatisierte Prozesse. Die fünf Kategorien stehen für aktuelle Themen im digitalen Kontext der Blechbearbeitungs- industrie: Für die erste Kate- gorie „Digitale Transformation“ können sich Unternehmen mit exzellenter Anwendung ver- netzter Fertigungsmethoden bewerben. Die zweite, „25 Euro- BLECH-Messen”, sucht nach der lustigsten EuroBLECH-Anekdote aus den vergangenen 25 Mes- sen. Cybersicherheit als dritte Kategorie steht Pionieren im sicheren Datenaustausch inner- halb eines Produktionsumfeldes in der Blechbearbeitung offen. Die vierte Kategorie ist „Bestes Start-Up“ und zeichnet die her- vorragende Leistung von jungen Branchenunternehmen aus. Pio- niere im Leichtbau und Kompo- nentendesign können sich in der fünften Kategorie, E-Mobilität, bewerben. Im Rahmen einer feierlichen Preisverleihung auf der EuroB- LECH 2018 wird den fünf ausge- wählten Unternehmen ein Preis und eine Urkunde übergeben. Sie werden außerdem auf der EuroBLECH-Webseite bekannt gegeben. Bewerben können sich ab jetzt alle Unternehmen oder Organisationen aus der ganzen Welt, die ausgezeichnete Arbeit präsentieren können und thema- tisch zumindest in eine der fünf Kategorien passen. Der Einsendeschluss für alle Beiträge ist der 31. August 2018. Dann werden die Beiträ- ge auf der EuroBLECH-Webseite veröffentlicht. Daraufhin kann die ganze Blechbearbeitungs- industrie bis zum 30. Septem- ber mit Hilfe einer Online-Ab- stimmung den Sieger aus jeder Kategorie wählen. Am Tag der Preisverleihung werden diese offiziell bekannt gegeben und nehmen den Preis entgegen. Die Gewinner-Beiträge werden au- ßerdem auf der EuroBLECH-Web- seite bekannt gegeben, welche regelmäßig von Fachleuten aus der Blechbearbeitung als Infor- mationsplattform genutzt wird. Die EuroBLECH wendet sich an Fachleute der Blechbearbeitung aus allen Managementebenen, aus kleinen und mittleren Be- trieben sowie auch aus Großun- ternehmen. Besucher sind u.a. Konstrukteure, Produktions- und Fertigungsleiter, Qualitätsma- nager, Einkäufer, Handwerker, technische Direktoren sowie Ex- perten aus Verbänden und der Forschung & Entwicklung. Rund 1.500 Aussteller aus 40 Ländern werden die neuesten Entwick- lungen und Systeme sowie kon- ventionelle Maschinen auf einer Nettoausstellungsfläche von 89.000 m² präsentieren. EuroBLECH 2018 rewards 5 businesses in this year’s “Step into the digital reality” online competition F or the third time, out- standing organisations and companies in the sheet metal working in- dustry are invited to enter the EuroBLECH 2018 online compe- tition in five categories. Recognition will be given for best practice, innovation, excel- lence and outstanding perfor- mance. Five winners, one in each category, will be selected by professionals in the sheet metal working industry via an online voting, starting in September. This year’s “Step into the digi- tal reality” competition engages the businesses in digital and au- tomated processes. The five cat- egories stand for late-breaking issues in the digital context of the sheet metal working indus- try: The first category ‘Digital Transformation’ is open to busi- nesses with excellent ability in applying smart manufacturing methods. The second one, ’25 EuroBLECH shows’, will select the funniest EuroBLECH story, either from visitors or exhibitors who participated in EuroBLECH over its long history. ‘Cyber Security’ as the third category highlights the importance of secure data exchange within a production en- vironment. The fourth category is ‘Best Start-up” and will reward new businesses for their out- standing performance. Pioneers in lightweight and component design for sheet metal working are invited to enter the fifth and last category, “E-Mobility”. The five succeeding businesses will be formally presented with an award and certificate dur- ing a ceremony at EuroBLECH 2018. The winners will also be announced on the EuroBLECH website. The online competition is now open to all companies or organi- sations from all over the world in the sheet metal working industry if they match the requirements of at least one category and they are setting an extraordinary ex- ample in one of these categories. The closing date for entries is 31 August 2018. After that, the entries will be published on the EuroBLECH website and the vot- ing will start. The sheet metal working community can select their favourite entry in each cat- egory by an online voting sys- tem, with the voting closing on 30th September. At the award ceremony during EuroBLECH 2018 on 24 October, the winners will officially be announced and receive their prize. The entries from all participants will also be published on the EuroBLECH website which is used regularly as an information platform by professionals in the sheet metal working industry.
