ANUGA 2017
TEXT: KOELNMESSE GMBH
MESSEPLATZ 1, 50679 KÖLN
U
m das erfolgreiche
und
einzigartige
Konzept der Anuga
"10 Fachmessen un-
ter einem Dach" branchenori-
entiert weiter zu entwickeln,
wird es 2017 mit neuen The-
men angereichert.
So erhalten Kaffee, Tee & Co.
in der Fachmesse Anuga Hot
Beverages erstmals einen eigen-
ständigen Auftritt, der der gro-
ßen und in den letzten Jahren
gewachsenen Bedeutung dieses
Segments im Handel und im
Außer-Haus-Markt gerecht wird.
Auch das Thema "Kulinarik" wird
auf der Anuga neu definiert. Da-
für bündelt die Fachmesse Anu-
ga Culinary Concepts Kochkunst,
Technik, Ausstattung und gastro-
nomische Konzepte. Hier finden
auch wie in den Vorjahren die
Finalentscheidungen der beiden
etablierten Profi-Wettbewerbe
"Koch des Jahres" und "Patissi-
er des Jahres" statt. Mit ihrem
ebenso breiten wie tiefen An-
gebot zielt die Anuga auf Ein-
käufer aus dem Handel wie aus
dem Außer-Haus-Markt gleicher-
maßen ab. Erwartet werden rund
160.000 Einkäufer aus der gan-
zen Welt.
Anuga Fine Food – Die Fach-
messe für Feinkost, Gourmet
und Grundnahrungsmittel
Die größte der Anuga Fach-
messen vereint ein umfassendes
und vielseitiges Angebot aus
aller Welt. Zahlreiche Nationen
beteiligen sich hier mit Gemein-
schaftsständen, die typische
Nahrungsmittel und Getränke ih-
rer Heimat darstellen. Das wich-
tige Thema Olivenöl wird erneut
in der Sonderschau Anuga Olive
Oil Market zusammenfassend
dargestellt und durch einen in-
ternationalen Olivenöl-Kongress
erweitert.
Anuga Frozen Food – Die Fach-
messe für Tiefkühlkost
Eines der wichtigsten Trend-
setter im Handel und im Außer-
Haus-Markt ist das Tiefkühlseg-
ment. Auf der Anuga zeigt die
internationale Branche regelmä-
ßig ihre Innovationen für beide
Channels.
Anuga Meat – Die Fachmesse
für Fleisch, Wurst, Wild und
Geflügel
Mit ihren Untersegmenten
Wurstwaren, Rotfleisch und Ge-
flügel bietet die weltweit größ-
te Businessplattform für den
Fleischmarkt den Facheinkäufern
eine hervorragende Orientierung.
Anuga Chilled & Fresh Food
– Die Fachmesse für Frische
Convenience, Frische Feinkost,
Fisch, Obst & Gemüse
Das Trendsetter-Segment, das
auf der Anuga seinen festen
Platz hat, spricht vor allem Kun-
den mit wenig Zeit, aber hohem
Anspruch an Qualität und Frische
an und bietet daher dem Handel
und dem Außer-Haus-Markt at-
traktive Möglichkeiten zur Profi-
lierung.
Anuga Dairy – Die Fachmesse
für Milch und Milchprodukte
Gebündelte,
internationale
Kompetenz für Milch, Käse, Jo-
gurt & Co. Die komplette weiße
und gelbe Linie ist in Köln ver-
treten. Die Anuga Dairy bietet
den weltweit umfassendsten
Überblick über den internationa-
len Milchmarkt.
Anuga Bread & Bakery
Brot und Backwaren in Kombi-
nation mit Marmeladen, Honig,
Nussnougatcremes, Erdnussbut-
ter und anderen Brotaufstrichen
sind im Handel ein ebenso wich-
tiges Sortiment wie im Hotel am
morgendlichen Frühstücksbuffet.
Die Fachmesse präsentiert einen
umfassenden Überblick über das
reichhaltige internationale An-
gebot.
Anuga Drinks
Getränke für den Handel und
die Gastronomie. Die Anuga
bietet ein breites Produktspekt-
rum für beide Zielgruppen: Von
alkoholisch bis alkoholfrei. Die
Sonderschau "Anuga Wine Spe-
cial" präsentiert darüber hinaus
ein attraktiv in Szene gesetztes
Weinangebot in Verbindung mit
Degustationen und Fachvorträ-
gern.
Anuga Organic
Die Anuga Organic zeigt ein
breitgefächertes
Bio-Angebot
aus dem In- und Ausland mit
klarem Exportfokus. Ergänzt wird
das Ausstellerangebot durch die
Sonderschau "Anuga Organic
Market", die auch die Biosorti-
mente von Anuga-Ausstellern
aus anderen Fachmessen berück-
sichtigt.
Anuga Hot Beverages
Erstmals präsentiert die Anuga
Kaffee, Tee und Kakao in einer
eigenen Fachmesse und wird so
dem attraktiven Thema für Han-
del und Außer-Haus-Markt auf
internationaler Ebene gerecht.
Anuga Culinary Concepts
Der Außer-Haus-Markt wächst
weiter und gibt auch dem Han-
del neue Impulse. Die neu kon-
zipierte Anuga Culinary Concepts
bietet Raum für Ideen, Innova-
tionen und Networking. Auf der
integrierten "Anuga Culinary
Stage" werden u. a. die hochka-
rätigen Finales "Koch des Jahres"
und "Patissier des Jahres" ausge-
tragen.
"Koch des Jahres" und "Pa-
tissier des Jahres" – Wettbe-
werbe der Profis
Im März 2016 startete das
erste Vorfinale zum Profi-Wett-
bewerb "Koch des Jahres", den
der spanische Fachverlag Gru-
po Caterdata nun bereits zum
vierten Mal verwirklicht. Junge
Nachwuchsköche aus Deutsch-
land, Österreich und der Schweiz
kochen in insgesamt vier Vor-
runden um den Einzug ins große
Finale am 9. Oktober 2017 auf
der Anuga in Köln. Der kochklas-
sige Wettbewerb wird von einer
renommierten Jury unter Vorsitz
von 3-Sterne-Koch Dieter Müller
begleitet. "Durch den Sieg bei
Koch des Jahres haben sich mir
ganz neue Wege und Türen ge-
öffnet," so Sebastian Frank, der
Gewinner des ersten "Koch des
Jahres"-Wettbewerbs 2011 und
mittlerweile Inhaber von zwei
Michelin-Sternen im eigenen Re-
staurant in Berlin.
Seit 2015 gibt es darüber hin-
aus den Profi-Wettbewerb "Patis-
sier des Jahres" für den Dessert-
bereich. Auch dieser Wettbewerb
bietet jungen Nachwuchstalenten
aus Deutschland, Österreich und
der Schweiz die Möglichkeit, sich
mit den Besten ihres Fachs in
Vorrunden zu messen. Das Finale
findet dann am 8. Oktober 2017
ebenfalls auf der Anuga statt.
Auch hier ist die Jury hochkarätig.
"Geschmack, Texturen und Qua-
lität der Produkte sind entschei-
dend - Spaß und freie Kreativität
in der Arbeit ist das Schönste."
so Pierre Lingelser, Präsident des
Wettbewerbs und Patissier der mit
drei Sternen dekorierten Schwarz-
waldsstube - Hotel Traube Ton-
bach in Baiersbronn.
Die 34. Anuga findet vom 7.
bis 11. Oktober 2017 in Köln
statt. Sie ist an allen Tagen
ausschließlich für Fachbesucher
geöffnet.
10 trade fairs
under one roof
I
n order to further develop
the successful and unique
concept of Anuga, "10
trade shows under one
roof" in an industry-oriented
manner, new themes will be in-
troduced in 2017.
For example, coffee, tea & co.,
are receiving their own independ-
ent presentation format in the form
of the trade show, Anuga Hot Bev-
erages, which does justice to the
segment's big significance within
the trade and in the out-of-home
market, which has grown over the
last years. The theme "cuisine" is
also being re-defined at Anuga. To
this end, the trade show Anuga Cu-
linary Concepts is bundling cooking
skills, technology, equipment and
gastronomy concepts. Here, as in
the previous years, the finals of
the two established professional
competitions, "Chef of the Year"
and "Patissier of the Year", will
once again take place. With its
wide-ranging offer, Anuga equally
targets buyers from the trade and
from the out-of-home market.
Around 160,000 buyers from all
over the world are expect to attend.
Anuga Fine Food – the trade
show for delicatessen, gourmet
and basic food
The largest of the Anuga trade
shows unites a comprehensive and
diversified offer from all over the
globe. Numerous nations take part
here at joint pavilions, which pre-
sent the typical food and beverages
of their home country. The impor-
tant theme olive oil will once again
be summed up in the Olive Oil Mar-
ket special event and expanded in
the form of an international olive
oil congress.
Anuga Frozen Food – the trade
show for frozen food
The frozen food segment is one
of the most important trendset-
ters within the trade and on the
out-of-home market. At Anuga,
the international industry regu-
larly presents its innovations for
both channels.
Anuga Meat – the trade show
for meat, sausages, game and
poultry
Comprising of the sub-seg-
ments sausages, red meat and
poultry, the world's largest busi-
ness platform for the meat mar-
ket offers the trade buyers an
excellent orientation.
Anuga Chilled & Fresh Food –
the trade show for fresh con-
venience foods, fresh delica-
tessen, fish, fruit & vegetables
The trendsetter segment,
which has a regular spot at Anu-
ga, targets above all customers
who have little time, yet high de-
mands in quality and freshness
and thus offers the trade and the
out-of-home market attractive
profiling opportunities.
Anuga Dairy – the trade show
for milk and dairy products
Bundled, international com-
petence for milk, cheese, yo-
ghurt & co. The complete white
and yellow line is represented in
Cologne. Anuga Dairy offers the
most comprehensive overview of
the international dairy market
worldwide.
Anuga Bread & Bakery
Bread and bakery products in
combination with jam, honey,
chocolate-nut spreads, pea-
nut butter and other sandwich
spreads are an equally important
assortment for the trade as well
for the morning breakfast buffet
of hotels. The trade show pre-
sents a comprehensive overview
of the extensive international
offer.
Anuga Drinks
Beverages for the retail and
food service trades. Anuga offers
a wide selection of products for
both target groups: From alcohol
to alcohol-free. Furthermore, the
special event "Anuga Wine Spe-
cial" presents an attractively
designed offer of wine in combi-
nation with tasting sessions and
specialised lectures.
Anuga Organic
Anuga Organic presents a wide
range of organic products from
Germany and abroad with a clear
focus on export. The range of ex-
hibits is enhanced by the special
event "Anuga Organic Market",
which also focuses on the organ-
ic products of Anuga exhibitors
from other trade shows.
Anuga Hot Beverages
For the first time, Anuga is
presenting coffee, tea and cocoa
in their own trade show and is
thus doing justice on an interna-
tional level to the theme that is
attractive for both the trade and
the out-of-home market.
Anuga Culinary
Concepts
The out-of-home market is
growing further and also pro-
vides the trade with new im-
pulses. The newly created Anuga
Culinary Concepts offers room for
ideas, innovations and network-
ing. Among others, the top-class
finals of the "Chef of the Year"
and "Patissier of the Year" will
be held on the integrated "Anu-
ga Culinary Stage".
"Chef of the Year" and "Patis-
sier of the Year" - competitions
of the professionals
In March 2016, the first semi-
final for the professional contest
"Chef of the Year" was launched,
which the Spanish specialised pub-
lishing company, Grupo Caterdata,
is now carrying out for the fourth
time. Young aspiring chefs from Ger-
many, Austria and Switzerland take
part in four initial rounds in total,
in order to secure their place in the
big finale at Anuga in Cologne on 9
October 2017. The first-class cook-
ing competition is accompanied by
a famous jury chaired by the 3-star
chef, Dieter Müller. "Winning Chef
of the Year has opened up totally
new paths and doors to me," stated
Sebastian Frank, winner of the first
"Chef of the Year" competition in
2011. In the meantime, he is the
proprietor of his own restaurant in
Berlin that is accredited with two
Michelin stars.
Furthermore, the professional
competition for the dessert area,
the "Patissier of the Year", has
been conducted since 2015. This
competition also offers aspiring
young talents from Germany, Aus-
tria and Switzerland the opportu-
nity to battle it out against the
best of their class in preliminary
rounds. The Final will then take
place on 8 October 2017, also at
Anuga. There is also a first-class
jury here too. "The taste, textures
and quality of the products is
decisive - fun and free creativity
in the work produced is the best
thing of all," according to Pierre
Lingelser, President of the compe-
tition and patissier at the Hotel
Traube Tonbach in Baiersbronn,
the establishment in the Black
Forest that is decorated with
three stars.
The 34th Anuga will take place
from 7 to 11 October 2017 in
Cologne. It is exclusively open
to trade visitors on all days.
