Zu den Inhalten:
Die
Ernährungswirtschaft
schafft es, neue attraktive und
nachhaltige Produkte zu entwi-
ckeln und das Bestehende immer
weiter zu verbessern. Für die
Wirtschaft in Deutschland ist es
von großer Bedeutung, die vor-
handene Innovationskraft auch
auf die fortschreitende Digitali-
sierung zu stützen.
Die Entwicklung der datenba-
sierten Ökobilanzierung für gan-
ze Produktlebenszyklen ist nur
ein Beispiel für das hohe Poten-
zial von IT-basierten Lösungen
in der Lebensmittelwertschöp-
fung. Blockchains, Metageno-
mik und die Sequenzierung der
gesamten Wertschöpfungskette
werden die Lebensmittelpro-
duktion schon bald vor bisher
ungekannte Möglichkeiten stel-
len – Kontaminationen können
durch Big Data Management
genauestens prognostiziert und
somit noch effektiver vermieden
werden; und per App erfährt der
Kunde bereits im Supermarkt,
welche Ressourcen für seinen
Warenkorb eingesetzt wurden.
Die Digitalisierung birgt auch
ein hohes Potenzial für die Zu-
sammenarbeit innerhalb der
Wertschöpfungskette. Durch die
Digitalisierung der Geschäfts-
und Handelsprozesse können
absatzbedingte Zielkonflikte re-
duziert und die Effizienz des ge-
samten globalen Food Systems
gesteigert werden.
Das DIL ist nicht zuletzt durch
die Etablierung der Food Data
Group hervorragend aufgestellt
und wird seiner Vorreiterrolle
auch in diesen jungen Entwick-
lungsfeldern gerecht werden.
Seit 2011 hat die Innovation
Food Conference eine Grundlage
für eine modernere und vernetz-
tere Branche geschaffen.
Die Anuga in Köln ist die welt-
weit größte Businessplattform
für Nahrungsmittel und Geträn-
ken. Erwartet werden über 7.200
Anbieter aus 100 Ländern.
Die Messe ist von Samstag,
7.10. bis Mittwoch, 11.10.2017
täglich von 10 bis 18 Uhr geöff-
net. Zutritt haben ausschließ-
lich Fachbesucher.

T
he ifood - the Innovati-
on Food Conference - is
being held at Anuga for
the second time. Once
again, the German Institute
for Food Technologies (DIL)
is organising this internati-
onal and first-class dialogue
platform at the leading global
trade fair for food and beve-
rages.
This year representatives from
the industry, the trade and the
research sector will be discussing
the so-called food mega trends
on 9 October 2017. Experts from
the international food industry
from IBM Research, Unilever,
Fraunhofer, METRO, Alibaba, the
BVE and many other companies
are expected to attend. The aim:
To jointly work out approaches
for the development of efficient
value chains, which provide sus-
tainable and attractive products.
The leading trend researcher,
Hanni Rützler, will host the
around 200 guests through the
iFood Conference and accompany
the event with her expertise.

To the contents:
The food industry succeeds in
developing new attractive and
sustainable products and in im-
proving the existing ones. It is of
great significance for the econo-
my in Germany to promote the
existing innovative power also in
terms of the progressing digitali-
sation.
The development of the data-
based life cycle assessment for
entire product lifecycles is just
one example of the high po-
tential of IT-based solutions in
the food chain. Block chains,
metagenomics and the sequenc-
ing of the entire value chain will
soon open up hitherto unknown
possibilities for the food produc-
tion - contaminations can be very
accurately forecasted using big
data management and thus more
effectively avoided; and per app
the customer can already find
out in the supermarket which re-
sources have been implemented
for his shopping basket.
The digitalisation also offers
high potential for the coop-
eration within the value chain.
Through the digitalisation of the
business and trading processes,
sales-related conflicting goals
can be reduced and the effi-
ciency of the entire global food
system increased.
The DIL is extremely well-po-
sitioned through the establish-
ment of the Food Data Group
and will live up to its pioneering
role also in these young fields of
development.
The Innovation Food Confer-
ence has been creating the basis
for a modern and connected in-
dustry since 2011.
Anuga in Cologne is the largest
business platform for food and
beverages worldwide. Over 7,200
exhibitors from 100 countries are
expected to participate.
The trade fair is open daily
from Saturday, 7.10.2017 to
Wednesday, 11.10.2017 from
10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Exclu-
sively trade visitors are granted
access.
