Neuheiten-Schau, Treffpunkt

zum Netzwerken und Plattform

Messe ein Besuchermagnet. Die

POWTECH besuchen heißt, von

anderen Experten und Branchen

zu lernen, sich selbst einzubrin-

gen und mit neuem Wissen nach

Hause zu fahren. Erster Anlauf-

punkt für Wissenshungrige: das

POWTECH Expertenforum in Hal-

le 2. In dem Non-Stop-Vortrags-

und Diskussionsprogramm geht

es unter anderem um digitale

Transformation für Handling und

Verarbeitung von Schüttgütern

(Dienstag, 26.09.) und Entstau-

bung (Donnerstag, 28.09.).

Voraus blicken

In Halle 3 bietet der Son-

derbereich Generation Zukunft

einen Ausblick auf die Pulver,

Schüttgut- und Partikeltechno-

logien von morgen. Hier präsen-

tieren Hochschulen und Insti-

tute ihre Forschungsergebnisse.

Besucher können unter an-

derem mit zahlreichen Hoch-

schulgruppen, Entwicklern des

Fraunhofer-Instituts für Kerami-

sche Technologien, dem Institut

für Angewandte Bauforschung

Weimar oder dem renommierten

Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids

Handling Technology der Univer-

sity of Greenwich ins Gespräch

kommen. Eine aktuelle Jobbörse

bringt Fachkräfte und Jobs aus

der Schüttgutbranche zusam-

men. Das ProcessNet Café der

DECHEMA und des VDI-GVC ist

ebenfalls im Sonderbereich Ge-

neration Zukunft angesiedelt und

lädt dazu ein, sich in entspann-

ter Atmosphäre mit Experten und

Kollegen auszutauschen.

Die globale Schüttgut-

Community treffen

Über ein Drittel der Aussteller

und Besucher auf der POWTECH

kommen aus dem Ausland. Die

ideale Gelegenheit für Grenzen

überschreitendes Netzwerken

bietet der International Day

(Mittwoch, 27.09.). Im Kon-

gresszentrum NCC Ost findet

vormittags ein Treffen der In-

ternationalen Schüttgutverbän-

de statt – mit Beteiligung aus

Großbritannien, Japan Spanien

und den Niederlanden. Nach-

mittags präsentieren sich die

internationalen Tochtermessen

der POWTECH World. Während

der gesamten Messelaufzeit

ist das POWTECH World Café in

Halle 3A als Treffpunkt für alle

Schüttgut-Globetrotter und In-

teressierte geöffnet.

Sicherer und sauberer

produzieren

Im Außenbereich zwischen

Halle 3A und Halle 4A gibt es

täglich Live-Vorführungen von

IND EX e.V. zur Wirksamkeit von

Explosionsschutz-Equipment

– spektakuläre Knall- und Feu-

ereffekte inklusive. Tägliche

Guided Tours zum Thema Ex-

plosionsschutz bringen interes-

sierte Fachbesucher mit einigen

der innovativsten Anbieter aus

diesem Bereich zusammen. Der

VDMA Fachverband Allgemeine

Lufttechnik präsentiert in Hal-

le 2 die Sonderschau Staubfreie

Zukunft mit zahlreichen Expo-

naten. Konkret geht es darum,

wie erforderliche Grenzwerte

eingehalten werden können und

welche geeigneten Lösungen

es zur Staubabscheidung in der

Produktion gibt.

Neueste pharmazeutische

Technologien kennen lernen

Speziell an Produzenten von

Pharma- und pharma-verwand-

ten Produkten richtet sich das

Forum Pharma.Manufacturing.

Excellence in Halle 3A, organi-

siert von der APV. In kompakten

Kurzvorträgen und Diskussionen

erleben die Besucher, was die

Branche bewegt. Nebenan ver-

wandelt sich die Messehalle in

eine beispielhafte Pharma-Pro-

duktionsstätte: Die Sonderschau

Fokus Pharma-Feststoffe vereint

auf gut 300 Quadratmetern rund

20 Maschinen und Anlagen für

die relevanten Prozessschritte

vom Mahlen bis zur Partikelana-

lyse. Passend dazu bietet die

wissenschaftliche Seminarrei-

he Pharma-Feststoffe im Kon-

gresszentrum NCC Ost hochka-

rätige Vorträge. Die Keynotes

liefern Prof. Peter Kleinebudde

zum Thema Partikelanalyse, Dr.-

Ing. Sandra Breitung-Faes zum

Thema Milling and Nanomilling

und Prof. Evangelos Tsotsas zum

Thema Simulation von pharma-

zeutischen

Prozessschritten.

Der Themenkomplex Milling and

Nanomilling am zweiten Semin-

artag wird in Englisch durchge-

führt.

In presentations, seminars,

live demonstrations, guided

tours and two special shows,

powder and bulk solids pro-

fessionals from every sector

can obtain useful knowledge

based on practice.

At the Expert Forum in Hall 2

and the Pharma.Manufacturing.

Excellence Forum in Hall 3A, in-

ternational experts and end-us-

ers will report on their best prac-

tices. The "Future Generation"

zone in Hall 3 focuses on the

latest research findings, ground-

breaking solutions and the next

generation of industry talent.

In addition to the around

900 exhibitors from all over the

world, the new products show,

the meeting place for network-

ing and the knowledge-sharing

platform also make the support-

ing programme for the trade fair

very attractive for visitors. At-

tending POWTECH means learn-

ing from other experts and in-

dustries, providing your input

and going home with a wealth

of new knowledge. The first port

of call for knowledge-seekers is

the POWTECH Expert Forum in

Hall 2. The non-stop programme

of presentations and discussions

explores issues like digital trans-

formation for the handling and

processing of bulk solids (Tues-

day 26 September) and dust re-

moval (Thursday 28 September).

Looking ahead

In Hall 3, the special "Future

Generation" zone provides a per-

spective on the powder, bulk solid

and particle technologies of the fu-

ture. It's where universities and re-

search establishments present their

research results. Visitors will have

the opportunity for conversations,

for example with representatives of

numerous university groups, devel-

opers from the Fraunhofer Institute

for Ceramic Technologies and Sys-

tems, the Weimar Institute for Ap-

plied Construction Research or the

renowned Wolfson Centre for Bulk

Solids Handling Technology of the

University of Greenwich. At the jobs

forum, skilled personnel can find

out about current vacancies in the

bulk solids sector. The ProcessNet

Café organised by DECHEMA and

the VDI-GVC is also located in the

"Future Generation" zone and pro-

vides a relaxed atmosphere where

visitors can share news and views

with experts and colleagues.

Meet the global bulk

solids community

More than a third of exhibitors

and visitors at POWTECH come

from outside Germany. The In-

ternational Day on Wednesday 27

September offers the ideal oppor-

tunity for networking across bor-

ders. In the morning, a meeting of

international bulk solids associa-

tions from the UK, Japan, Spain

and the Netherlands will be held in

the NCC Ost Congress Center. The

afternoon will see a presentation

about the various international

subsidiary trade fairs that make

up POWTECH World. For the entire

duration of the fair, the POWTECH

World Café in Hall 3A will be a

gathering point for all bulk solids

globetrotters and others with an

interest in the industry.

Cleaner and safer production

Every day, in the outdoor area

between Halls 3A and 4A, there

will be live demonstrations by

IND EX e.V. on the effectiveness

of explosion protection equip-

ment – including spectacular

bangs and fire effects. Daily

guided tours on explosion protec-

tion allow interested trade visi-

tors to meet some of the most

innovative suppliers in this area.

In Hall 2, the VDMA Air Handling

Technology Association will pre-

sent the special show "Dust-free

Future" including numerous ex-

hibits. It will specifically explore

how the required limit values can

be met and which solutions are

suitable for removing dust during

production.

Get to know the latest

pharmaceutical technologies

Intended specifically for pro-

ducers of pharmaceuticals and

related products, the Pharma.

Manufacturing.Excellence

Fo-

rum in Hall 3A is organised by

the APV (International Associa-

tion for Pharmaceutical Technol-

ogy). Compact presentations and

discussions focus on the latest

industry trends. Right next to

it, the exhibition hall is trans-

formed into a typical pharma-

ceutical production facility: On

a special display area of some

300 square metres, "Focus on

Pharma Solids" brings together

around 20 different machines

and systems to demonstrate the

relevant process steps from pul-

verising to particle analysis.

A suitable complement is pro-

vided by the scientific seminar

series of high-calibre presenta-

tions on pharmaceutical solids,

which will take place in the NCC

Ost congress center. The keynote

speakers will be Professor Peter

Kleinebudde on particle analysis,

Dr.-Ing. Sandra Breitung-Faes

on milling and nano-milling and

Professor Evangelos Tsotsas on

the simulation of pharmaceuti-

cal process steps. The topics of

milling and nano-milling will be

presented in English on the sec-

ond day of the seminar.

POWTECH 2017 will take place

from 26 to 28 September at Exhi-
